Fermentation Antimicrobials

The purpose of our quality control program is to ensure that any antibiotics we release to our clients perform consistently to our established standards. Our program of testing assures that all products we sell are capable of controlling industry specific organisms and decrease the effects of bacterial contamination events and lessen or eliminate the ethanol loss due to these events.

The Quality Control protocol for testing Bactenix® antibiotics at NABC is designed to test our antibiotics against industry relevant microorganisms. Using microorganisms obtained from within the industry gives our testing relevancy to the bacteria that are currently present within the industry. We are also continuously testing our antibiotics against new microorganisms as they are recovered from ethanol plants. This continual testing both by itself, and within our MBA program, provides more information and allows us to better suggest treatment regimens for control of contaminating bacteria.
