David Phan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia in 2008. His main undergraduate research studies involved working with Methanococcus maripaludis and its hydrogen production as well as obtaining biochemical evidence of whether hydrogen reductase is located in the cell membrane or cytoplasmic fractionation.

Upon graduation, David joined NABC as a Lab Technician at the Corporate Support Center in Duluth, Georgia. He is responsible for the quality control testing.  As part of his individual projects, he is in charge of improving and optimizing test methods as well as verifying theories and substantiating claims. This includes yeast stress identification, measurement, quantification and understanding yeast performance criteria among many others.

In his free time, David enjoys an active life that includes running and playing basketball and tennis.  He is an enthusiastic follower of the Atlanta Falcons, Hawks, Braves and the UGA Bulldogs!!!
